Trading Pin Highlights of the Week Jun 5 2009

Thursday, June 4th, 2009

More and more little league teams are wrapping up their trading pin designs and getting their baseball pins and softball pins underway! Make sure your team is not left out during pin trading day this season by getting your pins started soon!

Here are some teams that have finalized their custom trading pins during the last week.

The Ramblers Baseball Club uses classic red, white and blue colors for their team, which provides a great darker toned backdrop for their team name and ram mascot. This really allows the mascot to stand out as the focal point of the trading pin.

Custom Baseball Pins

The Baltimore Mustangs used a great mascot for a trading pin - strong, bold lines which provide a clean and clear image with a minimum of fine lines or small areas which are difficult to translate to the finished trading pins.

The Keller Knights baseball team chose to use a polished silver metal pin base to accent the royal blue and black colors in their custom trading pin design. The white outline around the team name helps to accentuate this information and provide a buffer between the black text and blue state background.

The Tampa Terminators wanted their trading pins to stand out from the crowd, so they opted to include blinker eyes in the terminator skull on their baseball trading pins. The black state of Florida and the gray and silver tones of the terminator itself really create a great focal point from the red blinkers.

The Dallas Colts used a dangler to include the year on their trading pins, which allows the pins to gain value during pin trading sessions. Including this pin option also means that any remaining pins can have the dangler swapped out for a 2010 next year, potentially saving the team some hard-earned fundraiser money.

Little League Trading Pins Highlight of the Week

Friday, May 1st, 2009
Head’s up Little League and softball teams! The competition for the best trading pins at this year’s baseball and fastpitch tournaments is heating up! Spotlighted below are some of the pins ordered this week.

The West Boca Panthers designed an eye-popping trading pin with their panther bursting out of a “P”, with a glitter effect inside the letter. The baseball bat barrel and handle extending outside the background helps to add a nice shape to the trading pin as well.

baseball pins The Titans Baseball Club took a non-traditional approach with including player names and numbers in their baseball trading pin. By having baseball bats extending down from the team name, they were able to place the names inside the bat barrels and cap each end with a baseball containing the player’s number.
The Littleton Falcons created a classic trading pin design with the large, striking baseball in the background, and a very bold, tough-looking falcon mascot as the centerpiece. The bright colors and large, strong lettering helps make this baseball pin stand out in a crowd while not being overly gaudy. Including “2009″ in with the grain of the bat makes it noticeable but also understated and is a very nice touch. world series pins
custom pins The Litchfield Arsenal baseball pin combines many smaller elements into a great trading pin with lots of action. Utilizing several smaller images that contain less detail but are easily recognizable can be even more effective than a single larger mascot or logo when done right!
The Navajo Allstars have a great trading pin design that is cut to shape around the large city location and the Indian spear, creating a sleek, organic design. This is a perfect example of how a baseball pin or softball pin does not have to contain a large amount of elements to create a beautiful and eye-catching trading pin. custom pins

Making Your Trading Pins Stand out with Custom Options

Friday, April 24th, 2009

One of the most exciting aspects of pin trading is the competition between teams to outdo each other on trading day. The Oklahoma City Junior Blazers had a design idea which translated into a great trading pin.

By including a player dressed in their uniform and converting this portion of the hockey pin into a slider, they helped their custom trading pin to stand out from the crowd!

Custom trading Pin with Slider

Whether baseball pins, softball pins or any other sports pins, with the low cost of adding a slider, dangler or spinner option, your team’s trading pins can be the hit of the tournament too!

These various trading pin options, including blinkers or glitter as well, work perfectly for sports teams looking to make a splash. Make a baseball SPIN! A player SLIDE to home! Commemorate the age division or tournament year on a dangler!

Trading Pin Factory Custom Spotlight

Saturday, April 4th, 2009

CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT:

Brian Thomas recently ordered some custom trading pins from us for his local car club and wanted to let us know that they were a HIT!

The club had never made a custom trading pin before and they were very excited to have an item that represented their group. He told us that he was glad he went with the soft enamel style pin because the polished metal border defined the shape of his car very well, and the durability of the epoxy coating was very appreciated.

The lapel pins allowed him to raise enough money to pay for more meet events and reinvest in some of our other promotional items. The club is currently working on a lanyard and a patch design for their summer roadshow. They plan on making new pins for the club annually to commemorate different events and to serve as a welcome gift to new members.
